Google Chrome Better Than Human Translation?

Google Chrome came up with a Translation feature. Let’s see what this is all about:

Not bad! So, while you can get a general idea about the website, part of the content will not be understandable.

I must add: Machine Translations from Any Language to English often produces Ok results; however, from English into other languages, that is not always the case!

Mexican Spanish Translations – Funny Video

People have asked me why should they spend money translating their websites into Mexican Spanish if there are free online translation resources.

The answer is simple, the result is often unintelligible, maybe not as bad as in this video I found on YouTube, but bad enough that people would shy away from you and your business.

It’s hilarious, take a look!

Reason #1 to Translate into Mexican Spanish

The Hispanic population in the US is huge and, since Mexico is their neighbor, it should come as no surprise that the majority (64%) are Mexicans, according to the US Census Bureau, 2006.

What does this mean for your business?

It means that when you have your website translated into Mexican Spanish you get at least 28+ Million additional potential customers.

But it actually gets better, because when we translate from English into Mexican Spanish for the US market, we make sure it as “neutral” as possible, eliminating Mexican only slang and jargon so all Hispanics can understand what you wrote.

In other words, instead of an additional 28+ Million customers you actually get an 44+ Million additional potential customers. Not to mention the Mexican population in Mexico and other Spanish speaking countries.
